Montblanc: Limited Writers Edition Carlo Collodi

I am outraged that my writers collection has been devalued in such a way. Having the opportunity to bring out such, as of yet, not honoured great writers like Dante, Updike and García Márquez, it is silly and insulting for Montblanc to try to put Pinocchio on an equal scale. What’s next? Mickey Mouse?

  • But the pen is pretty well.

  • While it is true that Collodi was not a prolific or even world-changing author, Pinocchio is a story which resonates with those of us who as children (and sometimes as adults too) have felt distanced from the rest of society. I think the pen is a worthy addition to Montblanc’s suite of writing instruments.

There are many worthy writers who could be honoured with a pen designed to reflect their contribution, but I am no judge as to their relative merits. It may be that the reason one pen gets produced over another is because their work appealed to a senior manager at Montblanc – it may be that many hours were invested in market testing to see which models might be best received. I think this pen is a thing of real beauty and while I could not afford to buy one, I will follow its journey through history and enjoy seeing it if/when I do “in the flesh.”

That Montblanc creates such beautiful writing instruments is an honest joy to me. Given time, I imagine the designers will produce a Hugo, Forster and even a Bunyan pen but for now I’ll be thankful for what they have done and hope for the best.

  • Hemingway, Agatha and Proust are three major winners among MB WE pens IN TERMS OF INVESTMENT. Every pen ehthu knows the three has increased their value dramatically.
However,I don’t think MB WE’s alias is stock or bond.
It is totally OK you hustle to Wall Street to grab junk bonds/stocks and win/loose premium. Enjoy yourself and make money.
All three Carlo Collodis are designed for standing the test of time.Is it wrong for me to say I just like those?
